Crankshaft kit comes with all the parts needed to change the crankshaft and
related bearings. Replacing the Original Perkins OEM numbers ZZ90084, ZZ90116
and ZZ90023. Agriline crankshafts are forged rather then cast, forging results
in a denser metal making it stronger, as opposed to casting, where molten
material is poured into a mold.
*Please Note*
The crankshaft will require cleaning to remove a rust preventative prior to
fitting.
When
fitted to Fordson Dexta Tractors crankshaft key 92069 will need to be ordered.
When
rebuilding an engine it is always good practice to change the crankshaft and
Bearings, after years of service the engine bearings become warn and the crank
shaft can become scored on the journals. In extreme cases a rumbling noise can
be heard from the engine which Is caused by excessive wear in the crank
bearings. This leads to a loss in oil pressure which can lead to engine
catastrophe.
Once a new
crank has been fitted this will give your engine a new lease of life which will
last another 20 years or more. It is important to make sure the cranks bearing
caps and conrod bearing caps are torqued up to the manufacturer’s settings,
fond in the tractor workshop manual.
